We’ve grown by staying focused on one thing: making digital easier and more effective. Here’s how we evolved from a one-person UX outfit into an award-winning agency — powered by performance and The Easy Way™.
Founding Year
2008: Where it began - Factory Pattern was founded with a simple belief: digital should be easy. What started as a one-person UX consultancy set the tone for everything to come — performance-led, user-first, and results-focused.
2010 – First Studio, First Team
2010-2015: Moved into our first Cheltenham home on Royal Crescent and grew to a team of three (four if you count Baxter the dog).
Factory Pattern officially became a team of problem-solvers — not just a freelancer setup.
2016–2018 – Big Moves, Bigger Projects
2016-2018: Outgrew our first studio and moved to Royal Well Place. With a team of five, our services expanded beyond UX and dev — adding SEO and PPC for full-funnel support.
Highlights: Our first major project with HBO Europe, helping sell Game of Thrones merch online. Yes, it was as fun as it sounds.
2021 – Growth on All Fronts
2021: Team doubled to 10. We launched mature CRO services, built high-performing ecommerce sites generating over £4m in annual client revenue — and moved into our current studio (complete with a skate ramp, still in use).
Became the only agency in the South West with its own half pipe.
Started UX audits on brands like Patagonia and Grind Coffee.
2023–2025 – Awards, Expansion & The Easy Way
2023 - 2025: Became an award-winning CRO agency (two wins in 2023 alone) and welcomed major clients including DAZN, Gazeboshop, and National Star.
We also formalised The Easy Way™ — our signature framework for turning wasted traffic into real growth through UX, SEO, CRO, Email, and PPC.
At Factory Pattern, we foster a dynamic work environment that values creativity, collaboration, and growth. Our diverse team thrives on innovation and is dedicated to pushing boundaries while supporting each other.
We don’t just drive traffic — we stop wasting it. From UX to SEO, PPC to Email, our services are built to convert the traffic you already have.
